What is the Himalayas called in Nepal

What is the Himalayas called in NEPAL. Himalayas is called Hiamalaya in Nepali, Hindi and Sankrit. Actually the world Himalaya is derived from Sanskrit language and many mountains in Himalayan range are also derived from Sanskrit. Hima means snow and alaya means beautiful and respectable places for living or dwelling. Nepal is a small country with many mountains. But hills in Nepali language is called Pahad. The width of Nepal is spread in around 200 kilo metres. And it is divided into three region. Himali region ( which is mostly from 300 metres to 8848 meters), hilly region ( which has only hills and no snow also ranges from 1000 to 3000 metres in altitude) and Terai region ( which is linked to the India border ranges normally from 60 to 1000 meters).
Himalayan range is stretched from Bhutan, Nepal, china, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan and covers almost 2400 kilometers. Nepal has more than 1300 mountains which are higher than 6000 meters and basically in Nepali opinion, we don’t call mountains (I mean Hima) which are less than 6000 meters. Himalayas means the places where you can find snow all 12 months in a year.
Mostly, many mountains in Himalayan range are derived from Sanskrit language.Himali RegionHilly RegionPlain Region
